Spelling Bee

A 13 year old girl from Kansas has won the National Spelling Bee:

Do you believe some of those words they asked them to spell? :yikes:

I remember we used to have spelling bees in my English classes years ago but I don't think we ever had words like those.

I always liked Spelling as a school subject. How about you...were/are you fond of Spelling, or is/was it one of your least favorite subjects?

English was always my best subject in school and Spelling was one of my specialities [although as of late I feel like that is going by the wayside]. Although I was very confident in my spelling abilities, I seriously doubt I could spell some of these words that the students had to spell. Congrats to those who won.

Those kids are smart! Congratulations to everyone on there!

Spelling bees were always a weak point with me. I can recognize words much better than I can spell them. OTL
