This guy has created a real life jetpack that he hopes to use to cross the English Channel. When I saw it, my first thought was that this must be sort of similar to what Wren looks like in PSIII.

This was on the news this morning, seems like he landed and his flight was a success. This brings good news for the world I believe because things like this are coming to the new age, but also brings bad news because things like this will also be used for wrong.

That looks cool! It also looks like fun! :hyper:

I'm glad the guy made it okay. He certainly seemed to have all his bases covered, such as the two parachutes, etc. Good deal.

I have to agree with the statement above about something like this possibly being used for bad as well as good, though. That would be true of practically anything these days. Still, the world can't let that stand in the way of progress such as this can be. More power to him in the future with this new way of flight/travel.

Yeah, any technology can be used for wrong things. This is no different than a car in that respect; it all depends on the person using it. This might take off as a new recreational thing, like hang gliding, but I doubt it will become very widespread. I read that he had to wear a fireproof suit to protect his legs. With safety concerns like that, I think this will remain a limited market for some time.

lol I see what you mean about resembling Wren, and it does look quite fun like hang gliding but with heavier wings.
