Oh dear, that Crack Down one made me lol! What version of Crack Down is that cover for? Anyway:

This is even lazier than the Ghost House cover. Seriously, it's just a collage of screenshots with the game logo in the center super imposed over it, the publisher logo in the lower right, and the FF logo in the upper left. LAZY!

That Bust A Move cover... how did they think that would ever sell any games? Out of all the ones here so far, that's the first that really makes me think "I would never buy this."

I don't blame you. If I hadn't heard of Bust-A-Move prior to seeing that cover, I probably would have avoided it. Good thing I did hear about it before then.

I just had to bring up the box art to Arkham City GOTY after seeing it at the end of the trailer

Okay, it's not really a bad cover or anything, but there's just way too much going on. It actually looks like all the quotes and text are hurting poor old Bats, just look at his face

ARGH ! What an insult to such a great game ! All those texts and quotes are really awful ! I can't understand why there is so much on it....

Have to agree with you also. There is absolutely too much going on with this cover. Batman himself alone should be enough to attract attention to the game, but all those other added things are very annoying.

And if you look at Batman, he seems to say to himself : "damn quotes and text" ! ;)

I never liked the mostly black and white look of the original Arkham City cover. It put too much emphasis on the blood by making that the only vibrant color. So now, looking at this new cover... I can only think of all that red text being written in blood. It's like an invitation to not buy the game.

Maybe not buy the game but maybe to incit parents not let too young children play it ? Here in France, there is a rate system about some games forbidden under 18 years old but a lot of parents and children didn't care aat all (some of my pupils who are 12 or 13 are playing GTA games ! And god knows how I HATE GTA games lol ;))

It's the same way in the US. A lot of people ignoring the ratings here also. I hadn't considered the idea of emphasis the blood as a deterrent to that. That's an interesting thought. I wonder if it was effective.
