As someone who likes quite a fair number of space shooters, I appreciate the inclusion of some songs from that genre here.
It's not exactly well known that the same composer of Final Fantasy Tactics - Hitoshi Sakimoto, composed the music for Radiant Silvergun for the Sega Saturn. Radiant Silvergun is also one of the most critically acclaimed space shooters of all time (which isn't saying much, because space shooters are a very niche genre, but hey you take what you can get). I think even people that aren't huge on the genre could find the game fun - the soundtrack is amazing, the graphics are some of the best on the Saturn and Radiant Silvergun's use of camera and perspective to set the tone for it's level design isn't really something I've ever seen replicated in a game sense. The music and the level design are always in 100% sync with each other, never deviating from the other.

Still, I think the level design in this game is rock-solid even if some people like to complain about the scoring system.
