Lego movie

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Feb 11, '14, 6:33 am

Anyone know anything about this lego movie that I heard was in first place at the box office this week? Is this an animated movie or what? Any celebrities tied to this movie? Anyone here seen it yet?

Haven't seen or heard anything on it. It just kind of popped out of nowhere. I know they have a game out with it too. My guess is it's CGI based. Know what, I'm going to Youtube the trailer.

I lied. It's a stop motion movie with CGI added in. They actually have an interesting cast which includes Will Ferrel, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman.

Thanks Atlin! I can't believe I'm saying this but that promo actually got me interested in seeing this movie. It looks cool with a lot going on it. I had thought it was just a kid's movie but I can now see how it might be fun for the whole family to see.

I agree. I have a gift card for the theater so I might use it to see this. I know my niece wants to see it so I might take her too, if my sister allows it.

We saw a trailer for this when my boyfriend and I went and saw Frozen right before Christmas. The trailer made it look pretty good, but we might just want for a blu-ray release.

Looks like this movie is a hit at the box office blowing away the competitors:

Saw it on Saturday. Definitely a good fun time. I'd say it is aimed a bit towards kids, but there are some references, jokes and other things that'll go right over a kids' head but adults will enjoy.
