@wolf bird: That is lovely!

Schala got the FE:Fates special edition a few weeks ago--it came with a mini artbook, some keychains, a carrying case and of course the 3 games. Very cool~

Why yes, double post, but I don't care because you all know how much I love this series. The idea that I would ever have a physical copy of Mother 3, even a repro with the fan translation, never crossed my mind.

Mother 3! I need to play that game!

Just bought Hyrule Warriors Legends, and it came with an artbook. That was a nice bonus!

Yes, play Mother 3. In fact, play the whole series if you haven't, though admittedly, the first one hasn't aged as well as the others. The easy patch mitigates that some.

Nice on Legends and the artbook.

My PAX hoard is as follows:

A handmade Amaterasu hat
A Franklin badge pin and keychain
An Earthbound poster
Fantasy Life for 3DS (got a really good price on that from the guy who runs our local game store in Winthrop, he always has a stand at PAX and gives us great prices as we're regulars)
A hard copy of the Japanese version of Okami HD with a bonus soundtrack CD

I will admit the expo floor wasn't as awesome as in previous years. I had considered getting a couple more amiibos I've been considering, but no one was selling them for less than $30. There was also a boxed copy of EarthBound for $1200. I can't deny the temptation and that I thought of it, but I knew I could never justify that. It was also marked up quite a bit from the usual price on eBay.

On the other hand, one guy I played Smash with in freeplay said I was the best person he had played against at PAX, so that's cool.

Phineas And Ferb:The Quest for Cool Stuff for the 3DS
Surprisingly fun game! Was expecting it to be crappy, but it's actually a lot of fun to play! ^_^

At our retro game store I picked up a PS2 copy of Beyond Good & Evil for pretty cheap. Really enjoyed it when I played the HD version and I'd like a physical copy.

Ubisoft, where's BG&E 2 already?!?!

Revive a dead topic because I just got something that just...makes me happy. To be truly technical to the topic name about a thing I personally bought, the last game/game-related thing I bought would be War of the Monsters and the Crash remakes on PS4. They had a sale a week or two back for the latter that we'd been eyeing, and the former is just a PS2 title that I remember enjoying, and it was only $10 for download with HD upscaling and trophies added, so why not. Heck I played it last night, and it's still ridiculous dumb fun that knows exactly what it's trying to be (a goofy, somewhat satirical homage of 50s/60s era sci-fi and giant monster movies) and is completely self-aware of that. Doesn't take itself too seriously.

But to expand the scope of the topic, the last game/game-related thing I received was actually a late birthday gift. I did get the Shadow of the Colossus remake of course (and if you have a PS4 I strongly recommend it, especially if you never played SOTC before) but a few days after that a friend of mine sent me a box from the Pokemon Center online store. Now you here might know in the last year or so I've finally gotten into Pokemon as a franchise when I played Moon (though my interest in the competitive scene still sits at 0). This box had the official plushes for Litten and Torracat, the fire starter and its second stage evolution. I already had the stage 3 evolution (Incineroar) as I got him at the Nintendo Store when I was in New York City in November. So I have all 3 stages of the Litten line, and after playing Moon and still working my way through Ultra Sun, Litten etc. might have supplanted Charmander etc. as my favorite Pokemon, after Charmander etc. spent basically 20 years there without coming close to being budged.
