Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

You know, with ' evil' and 'holy' tainted weapons like the shadowsabre, genocyclaw, and elsydean among others, perform an instant kill with a neon-ish Kanji character.

Any linguists out there to shine on these? I am pretty sure its a different kanji for some weapons but not others. Cheers.

Do they have scoured the Internet for like the past 20 years, and I still can't find out what it means, and I can't even find an image of it from the game, that maybe I could've used to demonstrate to someone.

Someone who speaks Japanese or at least reads Japanese.

I'm going to have to sit through one of those long plays by artificialraven or somebody and hope that I can run into one of their random battles that will have a random kanji symbol
