Whitney's funeral is being planned to take place sometime at the end of the week.

Did anyone see any of the tributes to her on The Grammy Awards show??

I didn't, since I'm not really a fan of awards shows, but my husband watched quite a bit of it last night.

I grew up with Whitney's music and always considered her immensely more talented than other pop singers at the time. Many of her early hits were about being true to yourself, being confident, appreciating and loving others, and the importance of family and friendship. Later, she sang about being a confident woman, and there's the especially (now) haunting "My Love Is Your Love." I think it makes it sadder to me knowing she was so different from what she sang about, because her performances were so heartfelt.

It looks like the family has decided to have the funeral and burial in New Jersey, where Whitney grew up. Some of the family wanted to have it in Atlanta where she and her husband lived for a number of years. Also looks like it's going to be private and by invitation only.

It makes me sad, I was always hoping that Whitney and Kevin Costner would get together and make a "Bodyguard" sequel, but now I guess that won't happen, atleast with her anyway.

Maybe later in heaven, in many years, there will be a Bodyguard 2 ? :) But yes sad week-end indeed...

I suppose by now everyone has heard the news that Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, has passed away after being in a coma for several months (since January of this year, I believe it was). I heard that a memorial or funeral service may happen later this week in Georgia (where Bobbi was living) and a few days later she will be taken to New Jersey and buried next to her mom, Whitney Houston.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bobbi Kristinia's family (Houston's & Brown's) during this difficult time. May they receive comfort and peace. :tombstone: :rose:

I think this is probably one of the saddest passings ever. She was just too young and had too much life ahead to live for it all to end this way. Very sad.

Yeah I heard about that. I haven't seen much coverage of it yet though. And to think she only passed on 3 years after her mother. What are the odds?
