"The Expendables", The new film by, and starring, actor Sylvestor Stallone, held it's premiere in London on yesterday (Monday):

The movie starts Friday in the US.

I can't wait to see this movie.

If anyone else sees it, let us know what you thought about it and what your reviews of it are.

Found an interesting article with former wrestler turned actor, Steve Austin, regarding "The Expendables":

Stallone sounded very friendly to someone who broke his (Stallone's) own neck.

Oh, it's already coming out so soon? I thought it was a year away at least. Hm, I might have to go see it this weekend. It seems like it'll be one of the best action movies of the year.

Well, just read one review of "The Expendables" movie and it was scathing, to say the least:

Although, the idea of Rambo with a posse doesn't sound too bad at all to me.

A lot of the comments on that review seem to disagree with the reviewer. I find that critics' opinions aren't a great measure of how much I'll like or dislike a film. Unfortunately, I won't get to the movie this week. It's not playing at the local theater.

Yeah, I have to agree with you Thoul. Critics opinions do not usually have any influence on whether I like, or dislike, a film either. I think we all have different tastes and what some of us may not like, others will like and vice versa.

With that said, I found an article telling that "The Expendables" did quite well at the box office this weekend, and even came out on top of a Julia Roberts movie:

I just came back from seeing this.

It was loud, violent, explosive, aggressive, filled with cheezy one-liners, muscles and babes.

It was awesome.

A tad short though, clocking at what, 1h30?

It was exactly like the 80's action hero movies. Lots of shooting, not much dialogue. The main gripe critics have is "the characters are not well developed." Uh... it's an action hero movie, leave your brain at home.

I recommend it.

Aero, Thanks for that review of "The Expendables"! Your review sounds just like what I was hoping this movie would be. I can't wait to see it.

I don't know about anyone else, but I actually miss the action movies and am glad to see them make a come back, atleast in this one film any way.

Actually, one of my friends best described it:

The Expendables: Sex and the city for guys.

"The Expendables" has done so well at the box office that there is already talk of a sequel:

Sounds like an awesome idea!
