The Avengers

Anyone looking forward to the new "Avengers" movie coming out in 2012?

I like the idea of several super heroes together in one movie, and think this one will do great at the box office.

Actor Ed Norton "The Incredible Hulk" may not be in the movie:

Anyone have any idea who may get the "Hulk" part, or who you would like to see play any of the other Avenger roles?

Isn't it obvious? I'm going to be the Hulk. RAWR! XD

But yes, this movie does look rather interesting and I am looking forward to it.

EDIT: That's the Dark Knight link you already posted. :(

I'm looking forward to it cautiously. Based on Iron Man and Hulk, I think it will be good. The Thor and Captain America movies that are supposed to lead into it may change my mind, though.

Marvel really doesn't like to keep actors that give them major problems during filming, it seems. I've no idea who they'll get to play Banner. It will probably be an unknown person; someone relatively new to film who won't cost much. Banner's not likely to have a very big role in the movie. With so many heroes to focus on, most of the character's screentime will probably be as the Hulk.

I have to wonder if the Hulk will be redesigned due to Norton's departure, though. IIRC, Hulk's face was based somewhat on Norton's. With him leaving, they probably can't use his likeness for the Hulk.

Has anyone ever heard of Mark Ruffalo????

It seems he could wind up being the Hulk in the new "Avengers" movie:

I don't know, honestly I think they should have just stayed with Norton. He fit the part IMO. Besides, I think it would have went better in the film.

Not sure about Ruffalo though, I mean, I'm sure he's a good actor, and with the right make up he could look more like banner, but to me he doesn't seem to fit the role. That's my two cents anyway.

I've not heard of Ruffalo before. He doesn't look like a Bruce Banner to me based on the picture in that article, but it could just be a poor picture for judging that. I'm sure Marvel will ultimately choose someone who can do a good job. So far, most of Marvel's casting choices have been very good ones.

I'm looking forward to it. I finally got to see Captain America a few weeks ago a loved that. I can't see how a movie with all of these great characters and actors could fail to be enjoyable.

I'm also looking forward to this one. I still need to watch Captain America too. I've seen all the other Marvel movies though.
