Went and saw it last week. It was a fun movie for sure, definitely one of best superhero movies I've seen. My only complaint is that Thor never wore his helmet. But to make up for it, Tony Stark always wore a Black Sabbath t-shirt and I liked that.

Finally got around to seeing "The Avengers" movie after it came out on DVD!! Terrific movie, although the first part was a bit boring to me. It got better as it went along. Although, really to have a partnership of this multitude I would have thought the movie would have been a whole lot better than this.

My favorite part....when Loki was boasting about how invincible he was, or something like that, and the HULK grabs him and boom, boom, boom...slams him all over the place...Loki shuts up,. I was a bit disappointed with Thor's role in the movie. Captain America was okay. I think HULK and Tony Stark aka Iron Man nailed it though!!!

Finally got to see it myself recently. I agree that the introduction was a bit slow, at least until Loki showed up. Things started picking up with his appearance. Going back to the first page of the topic, I think I would have preferred Norton to Ruffalo. Ruffalo did a decent job, but I never really got the sense that he was showing much emotion. For playing Bruce Banner, relating emotion - especially a growing frustration or anger - is a pretty crucial trait. The Hulk bits were better than the Banner bits, for the most part.

And I do miss Thor's helmet, too. I can understand why it isn't in these films much, but I wish that were not the case.

I was also sad to see the death of Coulson. Even though it was very important to the story, I had grown rather fond of that character. He's been in so many of these movies. But, I hear there's a good chance that he'll return at some point in the future.

All in all, it was a great team movie. I'm looking forward to the next batch.

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are two new characters that will be appearing in the all new "The Avengers: 2" movie:

Anyone know anything about these new characters. I admit, I know nothing, but they sound very interesting!!

Thoul: I know you said this last year, but Coulson's confirmed as surviving. He's a major character in Agents of SHIELD.

I'm more familiar with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch from their time in the X-Men franchise, but they've got a lot of history with a lot of characters in the Marvel Universe and Scarlet Witch in particular has a very interesting and very peculiar power set. I have to admit I never would have imagined these two would translate well to film, but they're important Avengers, so we'll have to see.
