Finally got around to watching my DVD copy of this movie "Terminator: Dark Fate".
Well, overall I enjoyed the movie, however, I thought it was totally wrong of them to kill off the John Conner character as we were totally invested in him as the leader and survivor in the future. It made no sense at all except for the fact they probably wanted to go a different route with another character taking over in his place. It also pretty well did poor homage to the previous "Terminator" films, I thought. And having the terminator (arnold) kill John was way below low, I think!.
On the other hand it was terrific to see Sarah Conner (actress Linda Hamilton) back. She has been sorely missed in the other films. She can really kick it where it needs to be kicked, lol. Perhaps we will see her again in any future movies. Older but still beautiful and smart.
Good to see Arnold back as the terminator also. I don't know if he will be back for any future movies as he said in the movie "I won't be back!", instead of his usual "I'll be back". Any future movies won't be as good without him either. He "is" the terminator.
The new lady terminator was good but she looked to small and weak to actually beat up another terminator. The new guy terminator was a pain in the "you know where" and I was glad when he was finally destroyed.
The new hero girl was okay but very naive. There may be stories there with her, but again, I think viewers were more invested with John Conner.
