Terminator 5

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Apr 28, '11, 12:31 am

Oh yeah, he's back. :happy_marle:

Arnold Schwarzenegger is thinking of doing another Terminator movie. This would be Terminator 5.

Would you like to see another Terminator movie??

I'd have been surprised if another wasn't made at some point. I'm not sure if Schwarzenegger is right for the title role now, though. He's getting a bit older looking. Comparing the original movie to Terminator 3 really highlights that. Eventually, the series is going to have to continue on without him or die off.

Personally, I can't see anyone else being right for the role except Arnold!! He is "The Terminator", and nobody can take his place, imho.

Yeah, he may be older now (who isn't?), but they can do wonders with make-up and special effects these days or they can probably take care of that some other way where it will work out fine enough to make a good movie.

:yikes: Hopefully, neither scenario mentioned above will ever happen, and if it does may it be a long, long, long time in coming.

Thoul is generally right in my book, but I'll go ahead and be with SS1 all the way on this one.

I'll even add one of her trademark smileys for the cause.

in a Terminator TI HD!!!

As a "fan" i wouldn't mind seeing Arny back (although Salvation was great even without him)

That's true; Salvation proved they can do some good work with special effects on that area now. Even back in the first movie they were using fake-Arnold heads in some scenes, so that's sort of a Terminator tradition, too.

I have no problem with Arnold being in the movies as long as he can keep doing it well. I just think the Terminator franchise needs to establish itself as something that's not quite so dependent on Arnold's presence. One of these days he might decide to retire for good. I would hate for that to be the end of Terminator stories.

A litte bit of info I saw regarding "Terminator 5" and "Terminator 6":

http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_17734.html

And, another article where Arnold Schwarznegger apparently didn't think too much of the last Terminator movie - "Terminator Salvation".

Interesting tidbit in this article about the bidding war over the Terminator franchise and how it may one day go back to James Cameron.

Also, I will be glad to see Sarah Conner back in the movies. I didn't like not seeing her at all since she was such a huge part of the earlier movies.

They can't work miracles. He will need a year at the very least to get back into to shape, and at his age, his body may still sag. He is 64 years old.

Plus right now he is rehabbing from a shoulder injury.
