Shopkeeper - Priest

Postby Thoul » Fri Dec 7, '07, 9:47 am

After seeing no trace of religion in Phantasy Star II, it appears as though the ancient religions of Palma may have returned on the Alisa III. At the very least they have priests and crosses like old Palma did in the time of the ship's namesake. This fellow can even awaken party members that have fallen in combat.

There's the crosses mentioned in the Mother Brain religion thread. I wonder what they represent in the Alisa III religions?

Maybe Orakians and Layans tried to repell each other with them, kinda like vampires or something of the evil sort. :D

Orakian: *holds up cross* "Back, back, I say! Foul witch, may Orakio be merciful as you are vanquished!"
Layan: *hiss* "No, not the Orakian cross! It's a work of evil!" *shields face* "It's so ugly in comparison to the Layan cross!"

lol, Then how would the Layan cross work? XD
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....

 Maybe like this?

Layan: *holds up cross* "Get back, demon worshipper! May Laya's radiance cleanse your evil!"
Orakian: *hiss* "No, not the Layan cross! It's an overload of cuteness!" *shields face* "It's so tacky in comparison to the Orakian cross!"

Bumping up this former Image Of The Day!

Another shopkeeper, although this one has the added attraction, or not, of being a Priest supposedly! Interesting!

Yes, the religious question is a bit odd in Phantasy Star : priests and churches in the 1st and third one, none in the second (Mother Brain as a deity ?) and a "god" as Zio and more ....:)
