So, the Tale of ALLTYNEX is a trilogy of vertical shooters create by Siter Skain, which were actually rather recently localized. I thoroughly recommend checking them out if you are or were ever a fan of vertical shooters or shmups in general.

ALLTYNEX 2nd Part 3- The ALLTYNEX valley authority.
ALLTYNEX 2nd Part 4- Speed limit enforced by Orbital Bombardment.
ALLTYNEX 2nd Part 5- Hardware Fragmentation.
ALLTYNEX 2nd- Unchopped, Uncommented.

RefleX Part 1- The Revolution will not have Operational Security
RefleX part 2- Elevator Action.
RefleX part 3- Just a whole bunch of moonshine.
RefleX Part 4- The Malevolent Seven.
RefleX part 5- Shield bashed.
RefleX Part 6- Rise from the Ashes
RefleX Part 7- They were afraid of a doomsday gap.
RefleX- The full run, unchopped and uncommented.

Kamui Part 1- We've replaced her normal coffee with LASER BEAMS
Kamui Pt. 2- Why do we even have a floating continent?
Kamui part 3- What a wonderful smell you've discovered.
Kamui Part 4- The Prototype Rule was meant to be broken.
Kamui Pt. 5- My Father the Space Station.
Kamui Full Run uncut no commentary.

Cool, thanks for the links R-90-2. I love vertical shooters. Can you buy them directly? and NOT through a gaming service? Do the games support controllers?

Well, right now I can also recommend Ether Vapor REmaster, handled by the same company, though it's not strictly vert- it's a perspective switching game, like Lifeforce.

Ether Vapor REmaster is already on my list of Steam games to get someday. Along with the eXceed games. Anything else you can think of?

Two awesome ones I know are Hellsinker and Akashicverse.

You can only buy them at the respective sites, which a quick search reveals, although some people plainly uploaded the full game elsewhere.

Well, oops. I do even own Hellsinker- the thing was localized by Rockin' Android, too.
