Without a doubt one of the most popular and best video games of all time!

Reading all these articles above certainly brings back a lot of memories of times past spent playing one, or any, of the Super Mario family of video games.

At the link below is an interesting article with a Nintendo designer who also worked on the Super Mario games:

And, find out about Google's tribute to Super Mario Brothers 30th anniversary here:

I want a Wii U just for Super Mario Maker.

Yes, I want to make my own Super Mario Bros. 3-style levels. ^_^

The ArrrPG - A game I made about being a pirate. This be a first draft, matey! Though it plays just fine, clap yer eyes on th' eventual Revised an' Expanded Edition and you'll be pleased, by thunder!

Nakama: A Card Game of Magical Girls - A completely un-playtested card game about being a magical girl.

Well, excuse me while I defy all laws of logic and common sense and do it anyway.

We got Super Mario Maker for my roommate's birthday and it is quite fun. Making a game based entirely around user-created content seemed like a risky move, as making the creation tools easy to use is not a simple task. But Nintendo succeeded. Granted, it can be difficult to find the really good levels among the awful ones, but it's well worth it.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

This is probably off topic and tangential but whatever.

The concept of a level editor video game is fine, but is it really worth paying $60 for? That's the main thing I feel fairly uncomfortable about in regards to it.

Hukos, you raise a perfectly valid point. Especially since Nintendo takes a very long time to let their games come down in price compared to other publishers. I guess that's a question the individual consumer has to decide for themselves.

I actually got to play Super Mario Maker with one of my friends' kids today. (I was killing some time before our weekly Vampire: The Masquerade game.)

I made a Bullseye Bill Launcher that fired Hammer Bros. instead of Bullseye Bills.

My friend's seven year old topped that by making a Lakitu that tossed Sledge Bros. instead of Spinies.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME.
