How many people do something subconsciously that you'd never expect. For example, just now I wasn't doing anything really, and I find myself typing in my password and signing on. XD I must be in a rut.

I can't recall anything offhand but I'm sure the same thing has probably happened to me, and perhaps all of us, at one time or another.

The subconscious is an amazing and very interesting phenomenon, to say the least.

Even though we may do things subconsciously, it may still be something that we really want to do for some reason. I can't explain it and don't know if anyone can. :yaknow:

I have all kinds of subconscious habits. Sometimes I'll catch myself doing something and wonder, why in the world I'm doing that.

This kinda reminds me of when I'd do things without thinking when I'm busy, like walking over to the fridge and sticking a peanut butter jar in there, then catching myself and wondering what I was doing. :o Always fun, though.

The whole subconscious thing makes me recall something about lucid dreaming. Normal dreaming is when your subconscious thoughts wander, what you're thinking about, etc., while lucid dreaming is when you're actually conscious in your dream state and you can manipulate the dream to have whatever you want happen in it. Now, I've never experienced this, (from what I know of) but I have looked it up and it sounds pretty interesting. ;)

From what I know, all my dreams, when I do have them, are lucid dreams then. I haven't had any uncontrollable dreams in....somewhere around 6 years.

I had a lucid dream when I was a kid; that's the only one I can recall. It was kind of a "sequel" dream, that is to say the dream was inspired by a nightmare I had the night before, but this time I was in control.

That kinda stuff happens to me all the time, lol. Freaky, in a way!

This is interesting. I don't recall ever hearing about these different types of dreaming, but I think I have had both normal and lucid dreams from what I can recall.

I first heard about it from a friend, since he told me that he was gonna try it and he showed me information on it. I do find this subject very interesting, as I guess that you can have some pretty amazing dreams this way (that, and the whole consciousness part is fascinating to me).

Just last night I had a non-lucid dream, it must be because I said I only get them now. XD It was strange, I saw some person I see every once in a while, in the workshop in the next door neighbors yard. And then I had to leave and when I came back, he and the person he was talking to was gone! He was staring at me. It creeped me out!
