Rudger's Adventure

So, I finally got around to playing the last few Text Adventures I hadn't tried yet. Now I'm completed all of them except Rudger's Adventure. This game has me pretty well stumped now. I've advanced to the point of getting the jewel out of the fish, but haven't been able to move beyond that. If anyone out there has finished this game, I'd appreciate a tip on what I should do next in the game.

Once you get the jewel from the fish, head back to the cliff edge. The one with the tree at the edge after you get off the ferry. Assuming you have the rope, use it on the tree and climb down. Use the shotgun on the waterfall to reveal the hidden passage and go inside. Make sure you have the palm frond, old book and the harp as well as the jewel before going any further.

No problem. This one took me a while to figure out as well.

I only discovered what to do at this point simply by using everything against everything else. I was quite surprised when the shotgun used on the waterfall worked!
