An interesting article about how most retail stores had lower than usual shopper traffic this holiday season, but online retailers are booming. It talks about how shopper habits are now changing, and people just flat out don't like retail shopping as much as they used to. I'm in agreement. I do the least amount of retail shopping possible. I go to Target to pick up necessities and that's about it. Almost everything else I buy online. The comments in the article are very telling. Lots of people are fed up with retail and prefer online shopping.

I agree with you and with them : I'm now making a lot of buying through online and less through retailer shops too, and I'me sure that a lot of people are like this nowadays :)

Interesting article with several good points. I agree that the increased shopper time (such as the stores opening on Thanksgiving day before Black Friday even arrived) as being one possible reason for low sales at many stores. It is simply more convenient and easier and less hassle for many people to shop online. Another reason that we did some of our shopping online was that we personally visited several stores looking for specific items and were unable to find them there however the same items were ready available online.

Although it may be easier and faster to shop online in some cases, I still think there will be a great demand for regular shopping for many people.

I also buy my work clothes from Macy's. I'm pretty thin, and it's hard for me to find dress shirts that fit me, so I have to make sure I try them on first. Calvin Klein slim fit seems to be the brand that fits me right. I swear I have every shirt that Calvin Klein makes in slim fit LOL.

Another problem is the lack of time : if a people doesn't have time to go to the retailer will he manage to buy what he need ? Online shopping ! And more, with all the people often present at the ratailer's a good way to "miss" a crowd contact.
