Majel Barrett-Roddenberry has died today. She was married to Gene Roddenberry (creator of "Star Trek", I believe) and she was in the original "Star Trek" tv series playing the role of Nurse Chapel. She also played the role of "No. 2" in the "Star Trek" episode "The Cage", which was to be the first "Star Trek" episode, but actually wound up being #3, I think. It was the episode with Captain Pike in charge of the starship Enterprise.

She also played the voice of the computer of the enterprise on almost every "Star Trek" movie, including the new one coming out, I think.

She will be missed. :tombstone:

She also had a recurring role on Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. She was probably one of the most dedicated people involved with Star Trek after her husband. It's a very sad day for all Trekkies. :cry:
