I saw this article yesterday (which was the 75th anniversary of D-Day) in which "Star Trek's" Scotty, James Doohan, served in World War 2 and was involved in the Normandy Beach landing. He also suffered several gunshot wounds. I only hope he knew how much his service was appreciated by the world.

The "Star Trek" world is mourning one of the screenwriters for "Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" who has passed away. Peter Allen Fields wrote around 13 episodes for the two shows combined.

Condolences to his family. :tombstone:

Saw a post on facebook by William Shatner regarding the 53rd Anniversary of "Star Trek" on today. The original show premiered 53 years ago on September 8, 1966.

Also "Star Trek: The Animated Series" began September 08, 1973 and is celebrating a 46th Anniversary!!

53 years later and the franchise is still going strong!!!

Happy Anniversary "Star Trek"!!! :cake:  :rose:
