Snorb, that would be awesome to hear Majel's voice again in any of the new "Star Trek" projects. I applaud that. Good idea!

And, I don't know if anyone saw it or not but this past weekend, MeTV showed some of the original episodes of "Star Trek" as a tribute to their 50th year.

Bad news. Star Trek: Discovery is delayed until May 2017. ;_;

Uh oh, doesn't sound good. Why the delay? Although when you think about it, that really isn't that far away. I am so looking forward to this new Star Trek.

The delay is because Bryan Fuller asked CBS for more time to polish the series, and CBS actually agreed and said yes. Which is good, because right now, today is September 27, 2016. Star Trek: Discovery was supposed to air in four months, and right now, all we know about the show is that it takes place in the Prime Universe in the 2250s.

We don't know who's in it, we don't know who the characters are, we don't know what the season's story arc is, the USS Discovery design isn't even finalized yet!

Then again, the first cast announcements for Star Trek: TNG were made in May 1987, and it went to air in September 1987...

I learned something interesting regarding "Star Trek" and the other classic tv show "Mork & Mindy" recently. It seems some of the costumes from "Star Trek" were later used by actor Robin Williams and others on the "Mork" show. Take a look at this:

Farewell to another actor who played a role in an episode of the original "Star Trek" tv show. Actor Don Marshall passed away on Sunday. He was 80 years young.

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/don-mar ... 201906360/

I remember him more for his role on the tv show "Land Of The Giants", which is still currently airing on tv in some channels as I happened to catch a little bit of an episode the other night.

He was a great actor and will be missed. Condolences to his family. :tombstone: :rose:

So there's no totally 100% confirmation on it just yet, buta lot of buzz about Discovery is that Michelle Yeoh is going to be in Discovery. She will be playing Captain Han Bo Georgiou of the starship Shenzhou. (The USS Shenzhou is named for the Chinese manned spaceflight program, specifically Shenzhou 5, which brought Yang Liwei into space in 2003 as China's first taikonaut.)

Doug Jones will be playing Lieutenant Saru; Saru's character will be from a new Star Trek species.

Anthony Rapp will be playing Lieutenant Staments, a xenomycologist and the USS Discovery's science officer.
