I dare say I'll put your recommendation into action Dakril. Now all I just have to do is wait until it appears on TV again.

Just found this short interview with Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker, "Star Trek, The Next Generation", etc.). Interesting "Star Trek" reunion there:

That's awesome! I'd love to see some future time travel thing to show Riker come up in another movie. Heck having a few of the Next Gen or DS9 crew show up would be sweet too!

That would be pretty great. None of the DS9 crew have made it into the Trek movies except Worf; I'd love to see O'Brien or some of the others in a film.

Rumors are circulating on the possibility of a new show based on the upcoming movie. It seems one of the writers from Voyager is pushing the idea.

Also in recent news, Harlan Ellison, the writer of the original series episode City on the Edge of Forever, is suing Paramount. Apparently, they haven't been paying him royalties for using the characters he created in that episode. The characters have been used in novels and even Hallmark Christmas ornaments.

Wow, 11 movies in 30 years. That's astounding!

I wonder why they decided on Australia for this opening???

Leonard Nimoy is supposed to be on the David Letterman show tonight. It might be interesting to see. He's supposed to be in the new movie, but I haven't seen that angle hyped since the original announcement. Maybe he'll have some interesting insights to share.

I saw Leonard Nimoy on "The View" talk show this Friday morning. He looks terrific and very enthusiastic about the new "Star Trek" movie in which he has a part. Of course, one of the view co-hosts is Comedian Whoopi Goldberg, who also starred in "Star Trek-The Next Generation" on TV. It seems they are keeping a lot of the movie hush-hush and hoping for a good review at the theatre. It was awesome to see him again.

Also, today while watching the sci-fi channel's "Star Trek" marathon they showed a commercial from Burger King showing 4 new "Star Trek" glasses with scenes from the movie on them. These are real glass. I think you can get them for $1.99 and the purchase of a meal, or something like that. They also have various "Star Trek" toys in their Happy Meals also. I'm gonna have to check those out. :happy_marle:

I went and saw the movie yesterday and OMG it was AWESOME!!!! Of course as most of you know it's a reboot of the entire franchise and I must say I was floored at the movie. All I will say is this is the most perfect reboot of any franchise I have seen and it looks like this is the rebirth Trek needs. Any Trek fan must check this movie out, you won't be disappointed.
