These are the songs that the big and small screens play the heck out of. Some of these include, but aren't limited to:

"Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye
"Ready For This" by 2 Unlimited
"Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina & The Waves
"Respect" by Aretha Franklin
"Somebody To Love" by Jefferson Airplane
"Rock & Roll Part II" by Gary Glitter
"Everlasting Love" by Natalie Cole
"Ain't That A Kick In The Head" by Dean Martin
"Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf
"Bust A Move" by Young MC
"Stayin' Alive" by The Bee Gees
"Kung-Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas
"The Power" by Snap!
"Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot
"Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory

I think this song has not been used that much, but I feel as if it had: Kiss Me, by Sixpence None The Richer.

Of course, I still love it, but it is harder to think of it as "the song from "Dawson's Creek" when it appears in movies and other shows...

I think I'll add these to the list:

"Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith
"Hotel California" by The Eagles
"Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys

Love a lot of those songs you mentioned MrKite and I don't mind listening to them quite a bit, especially "Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor. Was trying to think of some other songs to add to the list and the only one I can think of right now is "I Will Always Love You" done either by Dolly Parton or Whitney Houston. Great song and I like it but it is played so much that I get sick of hearing it sometimes.

Yeah, I never cared for that one anyway.

Queen's "We Will Rock You". Sure, it's a classic and all, I get that, but I'm pretty darn tired of hearing it a lot in movies and popular movies and TV.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Agreed

Anyway, here's three more:

"Spirit In The Sky" by Norman Greenbaum
"Good Lovin'" by The Rascals
"Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police (and "Every Breath You Take" isn't too far behind either)

Any version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". Yes, it's a gorgeous song, one I like very much, but it's used in EVERYTHING, to the point where when I hear it in a TV show or movie, it has the opposite intended emotional effect and I just roll my eyes.

Really? Like what? Because I don't remember hearing it in any movies I've seen, but I heard it was used in the first Shrek movie.

YES. All of this. Surely there's another song we can use for all those tearful, lost-it-all TV/movie moments.
