Pet Primates Ban

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Feb 28, '09, 2:55 am

Well, it looks like the chimp attack a few weeks ago has prompted the House of Representatives to pass a ban on having animals such as these as pets, etc. The bill goes to the Senate next.

Do you think this a good bill, or not?

And, what about laws like this for other wild animals, and not just chimps?

Eh, a case can be made to call any animal wild. Potentially dangerous might be a better label, though that's kind of wide, too. I wonder what people that already have them for pets are supposed to do? Give the animals to a zoo?

On the other hand, if this passes, we can be sure Planet of the Apes will never come true. ;)

YOU MANIACS!! YOU BLEW IT UP!! Sorry I couldn't resist  Anyway I think it's silly that it took a law for people to realize that wild animals as pets don't generally work.
