Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

This is the most trivial of trivial threads, but as I was going through my soundtrack library today I noticed that the font used for The Dark Crystal is very similar to the classic Phantasy Star font. Yes, there are obvious differences, especially the Y. Apologies if someone has already pointed this out.

Ah, 1980s fantasy. I do love it so.

Excellent ! I don't know if this fact has been already pointed out but it's real ! I haven't seen Dark Crystal for a very long time butr it's obvious ! Thank you very much ! :clap:

This is new to me, at least, so thanks for pointing this out! The resemblance is undeniable on the S, T, and A. I wouldn't be surprised if the designers for the Phantasy Star logo intentionally used The Dark Crystal as inspiration.

I wanted to put this topic up again, as it seems to be a very important matter of fact : the fonts are very similar, especially with some letters ! Like Thoul have pointed...S T And A it's quasi the same !

Yes! Even if there are some style differences (some may be more "curved" than their counterpart), they are definitely the same base. The small "spikes" in the "T" have no reason to be placed exactly where they are other than being the same design.
