This piece of artwork was submitted to the site more than ten years ago, long before the message boards were added. It was drawn by Santa.., who frequented Phantasy Star fan sites in the late 1990s.

Yeah, he's got a big problem there.

Great drawing. Especially the monster.

Big is an understatement. If the bosses in the game were this huge, the heroes wouldn't have stood any chance of winning. This Dark Force looks like he could swallow Chaz in one gulp.

This is most likely the size the first form of the PD would be compared to the characters. Game wise you can understand the PD doesn't look big but if it was a real life perspective the thing would be huge.. Although this DF reminds me of the one you fight in PSII instead of IV

I’ve always imagined Dark Force and the Profound Darkness being absolutely massive. Very nice drawing by the way. ;)

For a second there, I was thinking "Wow Thoul, you rock!"

Well, you do rock, but not because of this drawing, obviously.

Cause it's not yours.

...

LOOK OUT! DARK FORCE!!

Now that is one hell of a DF piece it really does bring back to mind that first time through the door into the blackness where the PSI DF conflict occurs.

This is an epic piece and I remember coming across it a few times. I am however tempted to clean it up and see how it looks. =3
