I've been collecting my PSP games for a year or so, because I've bought my PSP only between the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 (I can't tell the exact date).

Here, in most of the stores, it is pretty difficult to find games apart from the same 10 "hits", like PES, GTA, God of War, etc. However, as the gaming distribution is ridiculous here in Brazil, and the market is huge (20m living only in São Paulo and nearby cities), there are some stores specialized in games that import a great variety of titles and sell them to the "hardcore" gamer. And I, as a rabid fan of JRPGs, must resort to those stores.

Curiously, these games are much cheaper than what you find in the big retail stores. The big retail stores sell PSP games ranging from US$65 to US$130, while in those specialized stores it hardly hits US$65 (games are naturally expensive here because only recently the government took it out of the gambling category, which meant very high taxes for games).

Well my PSP collection grew again. I was lucky enough to come across Street Fighter Alpha 3: MAX on the weekend at JB-HI-FI brand new for just $15 AUD. I received both SNK Arcade Classics 0 and Mega Minis: Volume 2 today in the mail after work. I wanted SNK Arcade Classics 0 basically so I could play Athena and Psycho Soldier those are two of my most favourite old-school SNK games. Also as you can see they are both still in the shrink wrap. Dunno when I’ll get around to trying them, having too much fun with Street Fighter still.

New Games:
PSP Essentials: Street Fighter Alpha 3: Max
SNK Arcade Classics 0 (Japanese Import)
PSP Essentials: Mega Minis: Volume 2

Bit of a game update, it’s been a little while. I set my PS2 back up the other week to play Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer’s Call it’s a pretty decent RPG and the first game in the series I’ve ever played too. My copy of Midway Arcade Treasures 2 arrived yesterday so I spent all last night playing Mortal Kombat 2 & 3 and Primal Rage. I completed MK3 rather easily but I’ve always had trouble with the 2nd Mortal Kombat game.

Finally my newest PS3 game is HyperDimension Neptunia MK2 which is also an RPG. I moderately enjoyed the first game in the series, but from what little I’ve played of the second instalment I think I’ll like this one more.

On another note Street x Tekken will be getting released this week so I can assure you I’ll be playing that one soon enough.

Well I ended up getting Pandora’s Tower for my Wii today; it'll most likely be my last game for the console too now that Wii is dying off. I was very close to grabbing Xenoblade way back when it first came out but never ended up getting it in the long run (I had my hopes up to high that it would be like Xenosaga/ Xenogears).

I’m not too sure when I’ll have the chance to play Pandora’s Tower at the moment but hopefully it will be sooner than later. The art work I’ve seen for this game looks gorgeous to say the least. :starry-eyed:

This is my copy of the game, it’s the standard edition. As far as I know only Europe received the Limited Collector’s Edition of the game.

I'm no Wii specialist, but people often say Xenoblade is by far the best Wii RPG.

Yeah so I've heard, The Last Story also comes close as well apparently.

Be sure to let us know what you think of Pandora's Tower when you do get to play it. Out of those three titles (Pandora, Last Story, and Xenoblade), it is the one I've heard the least about. I definitely plan to get the other two at some point, but I'd like to know if Pandora is in the same league.

Oh yeah, as the Wii gets cheaper, I may someday get one because of those games. To know another good RPG for a console that apparently lacks on that department is always great.

I’m not wanting to judge it too much yet, I’ve only put just over an hour and a half into the game. Like both Xenobalde and The Last Story it’s got British voice actors (they do a good job too). It’s basically a dungeon crawler in which you play as the single main character Aeron (I think that’s his name??? I could be wrong) who goes exploring the floors of the Towers and slaughtering enemies to bring back disgusting looking throbbing lumps of meat for Elena to eat as it’s the only way to break her curse. I love the graphics and for a Wii game they are quite good. Much like Final Fantasy XII’s graphics on the PS2.

So far my exploration seems kind of limited in the game (Remember I said so far). As I can only travel between the first tower and my house where Elena is located. It’s got a very dark fantasy feel to it as well, I’m gonna try play some more hopefully before the weekend so don’t make any final impressions, I’ve barely scratched it’s surface. ;)
