Opinions or Comments?

Personally, I can see both sides of this issue. On one hand, I think it's just the kids playing dress up. We used to do this at school on various days of the year, if I remember correctly. Nothing too harmful about it. It's just one of the many little "perks" or "fun things" kids get to do when the school term is drawing near, I think.

On the other hand, I can see where parents and others may be a little upset about it, especially in religious familes, etc., but the kids probably had the right not to dress up, if they so choose to do so, or to dress up in some other attire.

It just seems that everything these days is controversial, in some shape or form. That's really sad when you think about it. :blank:

This part raised my eyebrow:
Quote:The response surprised Principal Tammy Hayes, who said no one had raised any objections beforehand. She said a flier detailing Wacky Week had been sent home with children the prior week, and an announcement was also included in teacher newsletters.

If the parents had this flier, it makes me wonder if they bother to read things like this their children bring home. If they did and didn't raise any objections, that also brings to mind the question: who did complain about it?

Weird story. They oughta be glad they were atleast wearing some kind of clothes and not going around naked or something bad like that. Don't laugh, it happens! :p
