Target redoing stores

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu May 28, '09, 5:08 pm

I heard on the news yesterday that Target will be redoing over some of their stores (about 100 stores) so they will be able to offer fresh fruits, vegetables, some baked goods, and some meats, etc.

I heard they were doing this to compete with Walmart stores who already offer this type of foods, etc.

So, anyone have any opinions on whether or not you think this new strategy by Target will work, or not??

Sad, but we don't have a Target store in the town where we live. :(

It's worked pretty well for Walmart, so I imagine it will for Target as well. People love convenience and there's few things more convenient in shopping than being able to get everything in one place.

Target needs to tread this carefully because if they get bad produce[like Walmart does] or charge much more [like Publix] then people will just right this off and continue going to where they head to now. As it is, Target is good for a few things but they are generally more expensive than Walmart so I'm not sure how good of an idea this will be.
