Sauces / Toppings

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Fri May 29, '09, 11:17 pm

I was just cutting a few coupons out while ago and saw a few new items that really surprised me.

First thing was called "Dessert Toppers" which you can squeeze out of a bottle to top off your favorite ice cream or dessert. They come in 3 flavors (1) A&W (like the root beer soft drink), (2)Dr. Pepper (like the soft drink), (3)Orange Crush (also like the soft drink).

Second item was barbecue sauce in 2 flavors (1)A&W (like the soft drink), (2)Dr. Pepper (like the soft drink).

Third item was 4 different flavors of Budweiser Sauces, including a barbecue sauce, smoked salmon sauce (I think it was), etc. Of course everyone knows Budweiser from the famous Budweiser Beer, etc.

I guess I was just a little shocked at first to see the sauce items, etc., from these popular soft drink products, etc.

The ice cream toppings sound pretty good to me. I might try those. I wonder how the Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce taste, though. :eyebrow:

If anyone else tries any of these products, let us know if you like them, or not.

Well, that certainly brings a new meaning to the phrase "hitting the sauce." :yaknow: I wonder if people can get drunk from the Budweiser sauce. I imagine it probably just has a similar flavor, but you know some people are going to try it for that.

I've had bbq sauces from Budweiser, Jim Bean and Jack Daniels and I can thankfully say they wouldn't get you drunk :) They do have some good flavor to it, if you get a chance you should try some [assuming you like bbq]. On a side note, having a burger cooked in Sam Adams has a good flavor as well  I wouldn't have guessed about those ice cream toppings though...what stores carry them SS?

Darkil, I'm not exactly sure which stores carry the dessert toppings. I would imagine you could find them at the major stores (Walmart, Ingles, Piggly Wiggly, Kroger, etc.) but maybe not all of them. I saw the coupon in a newspaper insert. I just did a search on line and found a pic of them here:

And here's some links for the Dr. Pepper BBQ Sauce & A&W BBQ Sauce:

Radical! The ice cream toppings sound really good, but the A&W rootbeer flavored BBQ sauce is a little too wild for me.
