Any ideas for Sega vs Capcom?

Postby Flames of Yagami » Sat Aug 21, '10, 1:20 am

Since we're getting MvC3 next spring and SFxTekken in 2012, I think its time that we get SvC, or if it's a 3/4-way crossover (someone at Capcom was actually interested in this, so it's quite possible), add SNK or some other company into the mix. Here you can talk about what you would like to see.

-Characters (including the non sega chars)
-Gameplay (simpler SF gameplay or crazier MvC gameplay)
-Stages
-Bosses
-Sprites or 2.5D graphics (morrigan needs a new sprite badly)
-Anything else I forgot about

Well guize, I hope you have fun discussing this. I can't wait to hear your thoughts and opinions! :D

I just have one requirement. If there is Capcom, there must be Amaterasu from Okami. Period. Glad that Marvel v. Capcom realized this on the second go. I'd also personally prefer Smash Bros. style gameplay. But that's really all I can say.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

If it came to it I would like to see Sega vs Namco. I'd like to have a couple of the Phantasy Star cast take on a few of the Tales of cast if they were included. It would be a epic fight, Chaz vs Stan (Stahn), Rune vs Jade, Shir vs Farah.. Epic match ups

I’d love to see who the bosses would be. I reckon Lashiec would fit quite well into such a game being the boss for the Sega side maybe. Or it would be possible to get Dark Force or the Profound Darkness as bosses. They would act as those giant final bosses like in the old Marvel vs. Capcom games such as Onslaught did.

We could also have like Neifirst rivalling Juri from Street Fighter IV I think they’d give each other a run in for their money as well.

Zio could make a pretty good boss, too. I'm sure summoning the Nightmare would be one of his special moves. Maybe one of the levels could be in Kadary, with that one crazy cultist flailing around on the ground.

Prebattle diologue like in SvC Chaos would be cool. Maybe Rune could make fun of Sonic for being shorter than 'ol Shorty.

Random question... Why is this in Classic Series? >.>

But yeah, Sega VS Capcom would be pretty epic. It'd be nice if they had someone from the Classic PS games make an appearance, though it is a little slim. D=

Yes it would've been smarter of me to put this in general gaming :duh:. And yeah 3/4 of the roster would probably just be SF, VF, and Sonic. But if that were the case, shouldn't it just be called Street Fighter x Virtua Fighter?

I could see Chris Redfield taking on Dark Force >.>

But would he succeed? Chris Redfield is epic in his own way but him taking down Wesker (while I admit punching that boulder into the lava is awsome) I highly doubt he could take on the ultimate evil without some Jill, Claire, Rebecca and Sheva backup >.>
