RoboCop Statue

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Feb 19, '11, 10:00 pm

Anyone remember the series of "Robocop" movies of a few years ago?

Well now it looks like there may soon be a statue of Robocop somewhere in Detroit :

This sounds like a great idea. It could do wonders for travel to the area and generate lots of publicity for the City/State.

Also it might help to revise interest in Robocop enough to get some more movies done.

Comments or OPinions??

The one guy has a point about a RoboCop statue maybe not being a good representative of Detroit. The future Detroit shown in the movies was a fairly unpleasant place. Although, it might be better to call it the "past" Detroit by now. I forget what years were used for the movies' setting, but a lot of those older movies set in the "future" use years that have already gone by.
