Blizzard already has thousands of pop culture references in WOW. It's one of the things that Blizzard loves to do, so it doesn't surprise me that they are going to honor him in game. Just check out this list:

There are a lot more than that too.

Nintendo on the other hand, I would be surprised if they did anything, since they are pretty stubborn about pretty much everything.

They've already expressed their gratitude for his support and have left open the possibility of some kind of tribute or reference. Maybe they think committing to an overt promotion at this point so soon after his death would be tacky. The man just died, jumping on a bandwagon to have his name plastered all over the headlines in your game is kind of, well, commercial. It seems to me they're trying to quietly express support and let a normal grieving process take place.

I know a lot of people don't care for Nintendo right now, but I don't see the need to bash them on the topic of Robin Williams's death.

No disrespect to Nintendo, I just don't see them doing it. Blizzard and Nintendo are in two different situations. All Blizzard has to do is make the necessary changes and throw the tribute NPC into the next patch, while Nintendo would have to put the tribute NPC into a game that's already in development, which would be a big hassle for them. I would just be surprised if Nintendo went through the trouble of doing it.

It looks like Blizzard is going ahead with their plans to include an NPC in World of Warcraft to honor Robin Williams. It is likely that "Robin the Entertainer" will be the character's name. Although they have yet to officially announce it, the character information has been datamined.
