Ring Of Fire solar eclipse

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Mon May 14, '12, 9:19 pm

Here we go with another unique phenomenon (sp?) to watch for in the sky on this coming Sunday (May 20). This one is called the "Ring Of Fire".

First thing I thought of when I read that was Johnny Cash's song called "Ring Of Fire". It might be interesting to listen to the song while watching the solar eclipse on Sunday, lol.

Hm, from the article, I don't think I'll get to see this one. That's a shame, the ring of fire sounds like a neat eclipse to see in person.

Remember this solar eclipse is supposed to happen sometime later today, (Sunday, May 20), I think it is.

I'm not sure if I can see it in my area, but I'm gonna look for it anyway. :silly:

I only just found out today that there is a tropical storm close to some parts of the US though and I'm not sure if that will have any effect on viewing the solar eclipse today or not. Certainly is early for a tropical storm already but the weather seems to be as mixed up as many other things in this world today. Oh well, happy sky viewing everyone! :)

Impossible as the sky is very black and dark... :( But I hope that a lot of people will be able to see it ! Take some photos if you can :)

I missed it, lol. Actually, I don't think it was seen too well in the area where I live.

Never fear though, here's some online news and pics that I found on this eclipse:
