Ridiculous Item Of The Day

General discussion of subjects beyond the scope of the other forums.

Well, here is what I think may qualify for "ridiculous item of the day" for today, Wednesday, October 3. :hmm:

I just read that actress Jessica Beil (7th Heaven fame) has turned down the roll of Wonder Woman in the new Justice League Movie. :?

I don't know if that's good or bad. She may have been a good actress for the part, and then they might find a better one instead.

I just don't understand why an aspiring actress would turn down what might have turned out to be a really great role. Maybe she didn't want to be typecast as a "superhero" or "wonder woman" or something. :yaknow:

Good... I don't think she would have been a good choice for the role. She probably wanted to avoid the typecasting, too. She's had a problem with feeling typecast in the past.

I think that's more insane than silly, but it's definitely ridiculous. I can understand the man being upset of the "friends" are trying to cheat him out of the promised sale, but that's definitely the wrong way to go about resolving the situation.

While not on the silly side, I thought this article was pretty neat:

Beethoven's hair turned into £500k diamond

And here is the ebay page to go with it for the curious!

Atolm, that was a cool story. Thanks for sharing it and the ebay link.

Wow, I'd sure like to know who the winning bidder really was. :2c: :2c: :2c: I had no idea they could do things like that with hair, ashes, etc. :hmm:

I'm glad to see that it was all going for a very good cause.

Huh, interesting. I didn't know they could do that kind of thing with hair. I bet a lot of celebrities will be trying to do it. "Buy a diamond made from me!" I can see some fans going nuts over those.
