Another excellent chapter! You did a great job with both of the battles here. I was glad to see Katya return. Her story concluded in a very logical way; I'm sorry to see her go, but at least it she went well. The ending of this chapter really has me on edge for the next one. That's going to be a battle to remember!

I'm not quite sure how to take that ending. On the one hand, Part 16 was a great wrap up to the conflict that had been building. I definitely did not see that last bit coming, and I'm curious to see what would happen in the PSII era, given that it suggests Rolf wouldn't be around, or at least not in the traditional sense.
But then you've got the epilogue and it's all just a dream! The happy ending for everyone is a nice touch and certainly well deserved. I hope it doesn't preclude a possible sequel story, though.

Glad you enjoyed the story, Thoul and everyone else who gave PSAlternate a read!
Yeah, the ending was a little, uh... weird, to say the least- the original idea was to have the "bad ending" being Alisa pregnant with LaShiec's child instead of Dark Force's. I have no idea where what made it in there came from, but it does add to the "Holy ####!" factor.
Does the epilogue kill any chance of Phantasy Star II getting the AU treatment? Prolly not. =p Rolf might be as different as having different Techniques as a result of Alisa not being his ancestor, or he might just have lavender hair instead of blue. Who knows what the future holds?
