Recalls

General discussion of subjects beyond the scope of the other forums.

Thought I would post this here as it is sort of related to the toy recalls, etc. There is a new business that has sprung up in WA, I think it was, where they will come to your home and test your toys for lead paint in them. I think it may be rather expensive, but if you are worried about children's safety issues, it may be well worth it.

Just goes to show that there is always some good that happens from something bad, if you look hard enough. This could be a very profitable business.

That's terrible, Thoul. The recalls are bad, but it's not worth executing someone over! How terrible.

They probably charge an arm and a leg for that. I'm not sure if it's good that someone is willing to test these toys, or bad because they're exploiting people's fears about toys to make tons of money. :greedy:

Some MagnaMan magnetic toy action figures, etc., by Mega Brands, have been recalled:

I remember that when I was little, I loved playing with toys that had magnets in them. I can see why kids would be attracted to those. It sounds like these toys weren't designed well enough to keep the magnets in place, which is a terrible shame.

There is currently a recall on Malt-O-Meal cereals. If you have any of these, or know of anyone who does, listen up:
