Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

When I first saw the heading of this story I thought this would be one for the "Ridiculous Story Of The Day" thread, however, on reading the story, I don't think it is ridiculous at all. In fact, I think it's a very touching story and kind of heroic that they could save her.

I'd still say it's pretty ridiculous... but very cute and pleasant nonetheless.

That does seem unusual, but I think it's nice that someone would care about their pet enough to do that.
