Rare-ish PSI artwork?

So, I found these while organizing laptop files today... Since I've never seen them on any website (besides whichever one I downloaded them from, of course) I thought I'd share. They are apparently from the Japanese Strategy Guide for PSI... I think its interesting how one of them looks almost EXACTLY like the US box art. Enjoy!

I remember that GamePro magazine had some nice PSI art in one of their very early issues. maybe in September 1989 GamePro

IIRC it was in their review of PSI.

Very cool stuff there. I've seen the middle one before somewhere, but it wasn't any near this quality. These have to be the best pieces of official PSI art I've ever seen.

I think capcom did something similar with the US art for the first few megaman x games

And yes you are all right : these artworks are great ! One of the greatest for the first of this wonderful serie (far more than the drawings on the different box arts ! I love Phantasy Star but some of the artworks on the boxes are far from being the best ) : but we can see that one of this artwork is the same as the box art from European and american (and Brazilian too I think : Tilinelson ? ) in an anime type that is great.
