Randy "Macho Man" Savage R.I.P.

Former Wrestler, and sometimes actor, Randy "macho man" Savage died recently after suffering a heart attack. He was 58 years of age.:

He was one of the greats, and very unique! He will be missed.

I was shocked and sad to hear of the news. So many memories were made by that man and the matches he had. Sure Hogan may have opened up the rest of the world to wrestling, but Macho Man certainly help lay the foundation of what we know today. I saw a tribute to him the other day and shed a few tears. He will be missed.

Poor bloke, best wishes to his Family. In all honesty I never really saw much of him when I was into WWE or WWF which ever one it is called. But he did seem like he was good at his job and enjoyed it from what I do know of him.

Absolutely agree with your comments about Randy helping lay the foundation of wrestling today, etc.

I also couldn't help but shed a few tears on hearing he had passed away. I guess sometimes we just think people will be here forever and then when you hear they have passed on, it is just such a shock to take in.

Also, I was very surprised to find out while reading about him yesterday that he had not yet been inducted into the Wrestling Hall Of Fame. It will surely happen soon now, but it would have meant so much if he could have been here to see it happen. I will never forget his "Oh Yeah" comments. He was one of a kind, and I miss him already.

I can't recall ever seeing many of his wrestling matches, but he became so popular that it was hard to miss him outside of the ring. Anyone remember those old commercials he did for Slim Jim? He really had a unique personality in his public persona that no one else would be able to duplicate.

Yes, Thoul, I remember him more for the Slim Jim commercials than for wrestling, which I never really followed. He was also pretty cool as Bone Saw in the first Spider-Man movie.

Yeah, Bone Saw was a fun part of that movie. It's a shame he wasn't able to return to give the character another appearance, the way Bruce Campbell kept coming back in those movies.
