Geronimo

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Wed Feb 18, '09, 7:55 pm

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the great American Indian Leader and Legend, Geronimo!

Some of Geronimo's relatives have begun a legal case to have ALL of Geronimo's remains returned to his birthplace in the Gila Mountains in New Mexico.

This legal battle involves someone related to former President George Bush also. Very interesting story there.

I happened to see an interview with one of Geronimo's relatives (his grandson, I think it was or someone along those lines) on Fox news and I hope they win their fight. Geronimo should have a peaceful burial, especially after all this time.

What do you think?

That's terrible... robbing the guy's grave and keeping his bones like that. I hope they can get the remains back and bury them where they belong.

I agree, there's nothing worse than descrating someone's tomb/remains. Especially if it's someone who deserves a peaceful burial. I hope his descendents can win this case and bury Geronimo properly.
