Ah, that's really sad. He was a good writer but he was also a very good actor. I think the last thing I saw him in was an episode of "Castle". He always seemed to have such a good humor about him. He will be missed. I always liked the way he ended his tv programs that he had written, by sitting at the typewriter and then pulling the paper out and letting it fly through the air. Good memories.

He also played in a Tarzan-esque series of low-budget films called BOMBA, THE JUNGLE BOY (IIRC). RIP, Mr. Sheffield. May you, Johnny Weismuller, and Maureen O'Sullivan have lots of fun swinging on vines in heaven.
