R.I.P. Knut

Knut the Polar Bear has recently died. They think his death may have had something to do with brain problems, but will learn more after doing some more tests, etc.

He was a cute little guy when he was very young.

Poor Knut, he died at an unusual young age.

I remember all the fuzz about him. There were even some people who wanted him dead, saying he'd not be able to adapt to the Zoo life, but they should be all attention-seekers. Now the poor bear is gone.

Just updating this topic. I read an article today on Knut's death and what they think probably killed him. If I remember correctly, they did find that he had brain problems and I think it said he had an attack and collapsed and then drowned after collapsing. Anyway, r.i.p. Knut and know that you made a lot of people happy while you were here with us and you will be remembered fondly.

Poor Zoo as Knut was a real money maker!
