Wow, I had no idea that there was touch screen technology way back in 1983. If the market hadn't crashed back then, that might have turned into something very impressive. We could have had something like the DS family of systems years earlier.
I would like to see that "Surface" technology take off. That's the sort of thing we used to see in science fiction movies.
