For those that played PSII before PSIV...

If you completed Phantasy Star II before playing Phantasy Star IV, what did you think about the trips to Zelan and Kuran in PSIV? Did you expect a repeat of the Palma/Gaira crash and explosion?

I actually expected a trip into the Palma asteroid belt and perhaps finding a chunk of Palma that contained survivors.
