PSII Text Adventures

Postby Tanith » Sat Jun 26, '10, 8:04 pm

I asked about Huey's (Hugh's) text game not too long ago, and I'm back for more questions about one of the text adventures, this time it's Anna's game. Has anyone played this? I'm still looking, but I could have sworn this was translated at some point in history.

Does anyone know what happens in this game? Characters? Places? Even items? This is to help me with my fanfic. Thanks!

I did a quick search and found this.
Also, if anyone is interested, Nei's adventure received similar treatment.

Thank you, Xander! I didn't even think to look at PS Cave for some reason. :duh:

So... are the only text games that haven't been translated Rolf's and Rudo's games? That's a huge bummer if so. :(

Well the translated ROMs are on PSCave but this one is a totally different thing and I found them under fan games rather than trasnlated ROMs. :D It runs without an emulator, the same goes for Nei, which is just a demo sadly. :( I'd be happy to see the last of them get translated to ROM format.

Anyway, it'll give you what you need at last.

We do have a downloads section around here too, you know. ;)

As far as the Nei game games, the version we have here is complete. I've played it from start to finish while comparing it with the original game. The Anna game I haven't played yet, though.

Pardon my ignorance, but since I've never used an emulator on my computer, what do you all recommend?

Gah sorry Thoul! I just clicked the first one that came up on google. :o

I'd recommend Gens, Tanith. It's dead simple to use and runs Master System and Mega Drive Roms. Start it up, open the Rom you want and go.

I'll second Gens. Kega Fusion is also a good one.

Yeah, pretty small aren't they? ;)

Now all you need are the Roms, and those are easy enough to find.
I'd have to say Hugh certainly has quite a weird adventure. Using and ID card to cut electric cables, using a shampoo bottle to send the reactor into overload and to top it all off the whole thing is his fault. :D
