Snake eats man alive

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sun Dec 7, '14, 7:10 am

This Sunday, December 7th, on the Discovery channel they are featuring a fascinating program called "Eaten Alive" where a man still very much alive is supposedly eaten by a very large Anaconda Snake. The program will be shown at 9 p.m. in most areas, but be sure and check your local listings for the correct time where you are.

Lots of preparation and planning seems to have gone into this event including the making of a special suit to protect the live man from many factors before and while he was in the Snake's body, the least of which may be bites by the snake. This is all done on purpose as an experiment of sorts, I suppose, and from what I can tell, the man does survive the ordeal, etc.

I certainly do not like Snakes, and yet this seems like a fascinating subject that I wouldn't mind watching to see how his journey goes. Too bad that we don't get the discovery channel. If anyone gets to see it, let us know what you think about it.

What if the anaconda decided to crush him before eating him? :(

I think Discovery would cut away from that so we don't see a guy getting killed by a snake live in our living rooms, Icecypher. D:

I think I'd rather be watching Jon Taffer yelling at bartenders until it looks like he's having a heart attack instead. =p

According to the article in the link above, one layer of the special suit they had fixed up for the guy is supposed to protect him from being crushed/constricted by the snake, If I understood the article correctly. Other layers of the special suit protect him from other things. Whether it works or not, guess we will find out after the show airs.

Sounds like the guy gave up before he was fully eaten. I guess he just couldn't *puts on sunglasses* stomach it.

Wow, good thing I stuck to watching Bar Rescue and Cutthroat Kitchen then.

(If I actually paid money to see this on Pay Per View, just for the guy to chicken out, I would have thrown rocks at my TV. Or at least repeat the profane chant from that one Bar Rescue episode that the subtitles and the bleeps disagreed on which half should be censored.)

I ended up watching a little bit of this. The guy ended up getting constricted by the anaconda and the snake started to eat the guy, but the amount of pressure that the snake was giving off was too much and he almost broke his arm when he called it off.

It was pretty intense, I kind of wish it would have gone on for a little bit longer.

I would have been majorely ticked off if I had spent time watching this event only to have the guy chicken out. They have lost all credibility, if they ever had any.
