I liked your remixes a lot (at least, 2 of them). I don't understand the problem. Sure they are close to the original, but this is what I like. OCRemix, while there's tons of great music there, sometimes they remix them to a point where you ask yourself "what the heck is this song???". For me, a remix have to hit that "nostalgia" cord for it to works, and when people just go overboard, even if the quality is there, it just does not work for me.
A professional exemple related to Phantasy Star? Look at the two Phantasy Star Collection remix album made by Rock-Zah (link available on the first page) The first one is one of my all time favorite Phantasy Star album. Every songs, while remixing with better arrangement and instrument, stay true to the original, and it brings tear to my eyes. The second album though...they went way too much with their own freedom...to a point where 60% of the songs, I don't know what the original is, except for a few tiny part inside the track.
The PSII battle-remix, and PSIII intro are just what I like. Fresh new arrangements, but I know what the song is. Unfortunately, for the PSIII overworld, while it is the one that shows the most potential arrangement-wise, I have difficulty getting into it, because it does not hit any "nostlagia" cord, there's a lot of liberty in it and I never hear once the melody the way it should normaly play.
Anyway, other than that, I'll say keep it up

I really loved also the choir sound you use in your first two remix. Some may not like it, but I really was a fan of big choir inside video game songs
