Things are gonna change

Postby Celeith » Thu Mar 6, '08, 1:10 am

I'm going to call my old teacher/principal tomorrow and get my transcript.. Then I'm gonna look into schools to become a teacher. I think I'm gonna go into language teaching so I can move to Japan and teach kids over there how to speak english. I think this will be a good thing for me, since well I guess I've been feeling like my lifes been goin downhill lately. I'm one of the low percentage of people who perfers to help others, so I think this might be good for me.. And well, getting out of here might be a good idea for awhile as well.

Good luck with the search for a good school. It's important to keep moving forward in life, so I think this will be a good move for you. Just be sure you learn Japanese before you go to Japan. ;)

Hmm, sounds like a pretty good plan. We could always use more teachers for just about anything nowadays. As Thoul said, moving forward is important and just has to be done sometimes. Hard sometimes, but necessary and once you adjust usually turns out for the better, especially if the previous state of things wasn't so great.

If you think it's going to be good for you, go for it.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Kaloes, congrats on making the decision to do something so very worthwhile and meaningful with your life. All the best to you.

I think we all tend to feel like our lives are going downhill from time to time, and hopefully, we are able to pull ourselves up and go on by finding something meaningful and productive to do. It can be a struggle, though, and sometimes a daily one at that.

I don't quite understand what you meant in the last part about "getting out of here might be a good idea for awhile as well". I don't know if you were talking about the message board, the country, or what. I hope you weren't talking about leaving the message board, because you would surely be missed. Although, the need to take a break for awhile from whatever it is, can certainly be understood and appreciated, and sometimes can even be refreshing as well.

Good luck. My mom lived in japan for 7 years, 2 of my friends went there last year. They all had a blast. Yeah, I think you'll like it there.
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....
